Matthew Davis

I provide therapy services to children (ages 10+), adolescents, adults, families, and couples who are seeking meaningful change, stronger relationships, and support in overcoming life’s challenges.
I have extensive experience working with individuals and families navigating adjustment disorders, life transitions, relationship and marital conflict, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and panic, PTSD, bipolar disorder, sexual trauma, ADHD, behavioral concerns in children and adolescents, self-esteem difficulties, self-harm, bullying, oppositional behaviors, peer relationship issues, domestic violence and dating abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders, family conflict, parenting challenges, separation and divorce, foster care involvement, anger management, and personality disorders.
My approach is person-centered and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, Relational Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. I tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals.
With over 20 years of clinical therapy experience, I bring depth, perspective, and seasoned clinical judgment to my work. In the therapy space, I am calm, reflective, affirming, encouraging, warm, and compassionate. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported while also being gently guided toward growth and insight.
I earned bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology from Syracuse University. I began my graduate studies at Florida State University and completed my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University at Buffalo. I have extensive experience working in outpatient settings with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples facing a wide range of mental health concerns.
