LMHC / Therapist

I can imagine that in searching for a counselor, you (or your child) have been experiencing difficulties and looking for a change. I understand that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you may not know exactly what you need or where to begin. My goal in providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults is to make that first step feel comfortable, supportive, and worthwhile.

If you or your child (age 5 and above) has been struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions/trauma, self-esteem challenges, or behavioral/relationship concerns, counseling can be the first step towards feeling better. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we will work to better understand what you are experiencing and identify the patterns that may be getting in the way of moving forward.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, behavioral concerns, self-esteem challenges, and relationship or family difficulties. I recognize that everyone comes to therapy with a different story, and I remain empathetic and understanding as we work together to identify where you can start making changes.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. These approaches can help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building greater coping skills and confidence. My experience working across a variety of settings and age groups has helped me develop a wide range of clinical skills to support my patients’ difficulties.

I believe that to be effective, therapy must feel like a partnership—one where you feel trusted, respected, and genuinely heard. For parents seeking support for a child or adolescent, I understand how difficult it can be to watch your child struggle, and I aim to provide a place where they can express themselves and build confidence. For adults, therapy can offer the chance to slow down, gain perspective, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater confidence.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you are looking for a therapist for yourself or your child, I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about what you are experiencing and determine if I may be able to help.
