LMHC-D /Therapist
Hi, I am a psychotherapist who works with adult (18+) individuals to address a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. I believe the most effective therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together as a team to identify what’s not working and build practical, meaningful solutions that fit your life. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and actively involved in your own healing.
We begin by establishing a strong therapeutic alliance—creating a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and grounded in trust. From there, we move into exploring your specific needs, patterns, and goals in a way that feels respectful of your pace and readiness.
Let me start by saying: you deserve to take up space. You are allowed to feel what you’re feeling. Your brain’s first instinct is to keep you alive, so whatever is happening internally makes sense in the context of your experiences. In our work together, my hope is that you can safely allow yourself to experience and process your emotions fully. As the saying goes, “the only way out is through.”
I believe we are all doing our best given the circumstances we’re in. And while that is true, growth often means recognizing that “doing your best” can also include learning new ways of coping, relating, and responding. Together, we can explore what “better” looks like for you and how to realistically get there.
My therapeutic style is supportive, empowering, person-centered, compassionate, and encouraging. I take a collaborative and strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns when appropriate. Therapy with me is active, engaging, and focused on building insight as well as real-life change.
I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also incorporate mindfulness practices and somatic interventions when appropriate to support emotional regulation and mind-body connection. In addition, I am trained in EMDR, which I utilize to help process and heal from trauma and distressing experiences.
My approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and respect for your lived experience. Together, we work toward increased self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of self—so you can move through life with more clarity, confidence, and connection.
